Mkhitaryan’s entertaining evening

On the evening of February 5, the Armenia national team played their friendly fixture in France’s Valenciennes. Armenia were held to a draw by Luxembourg.

The head coach of the Armenia national team, Vardan Minasyan, employed the Pitmen’s midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan throughout the whole game. Our top scorer, as always, looked energetic, took a number of shots and tried to supply his team-mates with passes.

The match started unsuccessfully for Armenia. As early as on 15 minutes, one of the few Luxembourg’s attacking moves resulted in a goal. Armenia managed to equalise on the stroke of the half time, but Henrikh’s team failed to build on the success in the second period.
