Guardiola wants Milito on his coaching staff
Sport
Still months away from his arrival in Munich, Pep Guardiola is already planning for the future. Although nothing is official, the former Barcelona coach has already been in contact with one of his former players at Barça about joining him in Bavaria from July the 1st. Gaby Milito is said to be that man and he could be one of the familiar faces from La Liga, as previously suggested by Guardiola, who joins him at the German club.
While nothing has been confirmed until now it appears likely that the 32 year-old Milito, who retired as a player last June, will accept Guardiola’s offer to join him on his new adventure and join the coaching staff at Bayern.
Andrés Iniesta has commented on the possible link-up between Guardiola and Milito on the Argentinean Radio channel la Red: "If Gaby Milito joins Guardiola it will be big news, he would be a great assistant", the Spanish International was quoted as saying from the national team hotel in Qatar.
Milito has until now not wished to announce any deal with Bayern, but what he has done is reject other offers to work back in Argentina which may suggest his future lies with Guardiola in Germany.
