Never die. Armenian poet Hovhannes Grigoryan passed away

Lurer.com with deep sorrow informs that in the morning the secretary of the Union of Writers of Armenia, poet Hovhannes Grigoryan passed away.

Hovhannes Grigoryan was born in the city of Gyumri, Armenia, on August 7, 1945. He graduated from the Yerevan State University, department of Mathematical Linguistics. He was the editor-in-chief of WUA ''Serund'' electronic magazine and "Mihr" magazine.

He wrote numerous articles on publicity and critique, translated and published in separate editions of several works of Russian, English and Spanish writers. His own works were translated into English, French, Russian, Spanish, Persian, Arabian etc. Among his collected works are "Songs without Music", "Quite Different Autumn", "Rain on a Sad Occasion", and many others.

He was awarded with literary prize after Avetik Isahakyan, Movses Khorenatsi Medal, Vahagn Prize, and the State Prize of Artsakh.

Hovhannes Grigoryan's poetry had its way, a colossal internal energy, charge detection and new layers. Its presence is one of the most significant in modern Armenian poetry.

sister, who was born with me died after a few hours.

August sun, whic rose upon a time,

looked indifferently for our family,

which in turmoil laughed with joy or tears of sorrow.

Now no one can remember in our house

sister, who lived only a few hours

At the post-war, famine morning ...

I just can not forget her

and sometimes wake up from cardiac pain,

wet eyes gaze in silence,

moment by moment and remember those nine months,

we lived together

the best time of our lives.
