Charles Aznavour's daughter Seda Aznavour denounced the news about her sister's conversion to other religion.

As reports "Armenpress” Seda Aznavour posted in facebook social network the following: "I would like to inform my all facebook friends that we, the Aznavours are ethnic Armenians and we are Christians, adhering particularly to the Gregorian Orthodoxy. Do not forget that Armenia was the first state to adopt Christianity and our ancestors were martyred for their faith. We are proud to be a part of a nation, which remains loyal top its roots. Therefore, do not always believe what you read in newspapers.

We will never be converted to another religion. Suffice to say that it was my father, who wrote 'Ave Maria'."

Previously the Azerbaijani media stated that Katya Aznavour married to an Algerian and converted to Muslim faith.
