Paruyr Hayrikyan, nevertheless, applied to CC

Armenia’s presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan submitted to Armenia’s Constitutional Court his application for postponing the presidential elections for two weeks, correspondent on GALA reports.

"Though I'm not obliged to inform about all my steps, but would like my associates to know that if the opposition candidates unite in the coming two days I will take back my application and the elections will take place on February 18. Though it violates my right of equal participation but it will be compensated by the creation of united team. In parallel, the state will not violate many observers' schedule, otherwise I will have to try to complete my campaign within two weeks together with the other candidates", Hayrikyan said.

He noted, that he submitted his application for postponing the presidential elections for two weeks. There is no requirement of new elections in the application.
