Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with more shots on target than any other in this edition of the Champions League, marca.com reports.

The Portuguese star has had 27 shots on goal in the competition so far, which if added together is more than the total amount of efforts of Chicharito, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney put together who have only managed 24 shots between them. The Mexican has hit the most for United with 11 efforts on target, followed by Van Persie on 7 and Rooney on 6.

The statistic that Ronaldo has managed more shots than three of United's forwards together is a telling one and defines the potential of the Portuguese star. He is also joint top scorer in the competition with 6 goals along with Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz, but while his strikes have come in 540 minutes of play, the Turkish striker has taken only 501 minutes to hit his goals.
