Iranian ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Reisi told the reporters on Tuesday that the contract on providing Syunik province’s pastures to Iran for rent has not been signed. “No contract has been signed yet. May be there is some misunderstanding,” he said.
Asked who the proposal belongs to, Armenian side, or Iranian, the ambassador said, that more probably, it belongs to the Iranian side, but added that the proposal stems from the interests of both Iran and Armenia, adding that the number of cattle in Armenia will grow.
Mohammad Reisi said it will give an opportunity to export 2-3 million live sheep to Iran.
The ambassador also said that both parties cannot secretly sign contract, stressing that it should be ratified by the NA as well. The ambassador stressed that the program will be mutually beneficial both for Armenia and Iran
