World Day Against Childhood Cancer is celebrated every year on February 15, at the initiative of the International Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (INTERNATIONAL CONFEDERATION OF CHILDHOOD CANCER PARENT ORGANIZATIONS – ICCCPO), to inform the international public about childhood cancers (cancers) and to raise awareness of the broader social environment on the needs of children who are affected by cancer around the world.

Greatest achievement of medicine is the fact that eight out of ten children with leukemia are well today.
children with cancer should be treated specially in pediatric oncology and treated by qualified medical and nursing staff, psychologists and social officers who will look after not only during treatment, but during the period of rehabilitation.
In cancer early detection is essential. We must therefore pay special attention to the education of health professionals to be able to diagnose the disease early, and accurate information to parents promptly addressed in pediatric hospitals.
