Venezuela’s Vice President may become President

Nicolas Maduro, who is currently Venezuela’s Vice President, has good chances to win the presidential elections if the incumbent President Hugo Chavez leaves his post.

According to the results of a recent poll, Mr. Maduro may win 50% of the votes if he runs for presidency.

On Monday, President Chavez returned from Cuba, where he underwent medical treatment for 2 months.

During his absence, the president’s functions were performed by Vice President Maduro.
