President Serzh Sargsyan is receiving congratulations on his victory in the elections

After the announcement of the preliminary official results for the RA presidential elections, Serzh Sargsyan is receiving congratulations on his victory in the elections from the state and public figures, individuals, and heads of foreign states.

Today, His Holiness Garegin II, accompanied by the members of the Supreme Council, visited Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Armenia and brought his pontifical blessings from the Holy See of Saint Etchmiadzin. His Holiness conveyed also a congratulatory message to the President of Armenia. “Your victory in the elections testify to the fact that our people see the prospects for Armenia’s advance and development, trust your programs of reformation and appreciate Your efforts and dedication, Your services to Motherland, the road You’ve traveled and the input You’ve made,” the Catholicos of All Armenians says in his message. He wished that the second term of Serzh Sargsyan becomes a breakthrough period for our country’s development, when the living standards of our nation will be moving straight upward towards prosperity, and problems and difficulties will be conquered.

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia in his congratulatory message sent to Serzh Sargsyan welcomed his re-election and on this occasion reiterated that the Catholicate of the Great House of Cilicia will always support and encourage Serzh Sargsyan in his work aimed at the empowerment of Armenia, further strengthening of Armenia-Spyurk relations, Armenia’s lasting prosperity and reclaiming of our nation’s legitimate rights.

“During the first term of Your Presidency, despite numerous internal and external challenges facing Armenia, You indeed were able through Your relentless work, determination and flexible policies not only to circumvent a number of obstacles but also to enrich the modern history of our motherland with important events. We are confident that during the second term of Your presidency You will do Your best to justify trust of our people, executing the mission entrusted in You with the utmost ardor and total dedication,” says the message of the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia.

His Eminence Nerses-Petros XIX, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Community also sent a congratulatory message to President Serzh Sargsyan. “We are confident that the majority of the people’s votes endowed on Your person is not accidental; it is the result of the people’s trust as well as of their anticipation for the path towards the secure Armenia which will signify the next five years of Your presidency,” Nerses-Petros XIX, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Community says in his message. He also expressed confidence that Serzh Sargsyan will be successful in the achievement of the all-national goals set by the Armenia-Spyurk-Artsakh triumvirate.
