Mexico reports bird flu outbreak

Some 480,000 chickens have been killed in Mexico’s state of Guanajuato amid an outbreak of bird flu, local authorities confirmed.
Cases of bird flu were reported at 12 farms, Ria Novosti reports.
Some 200,000 chickens have been vaccinated to contain the spread of the virus.
About 1 million chickens were killed in central Mexico in July, 2012, also due to a bird flu outbreak.
