Hrant Bagratyan calls on Raffi Hovannisyan and Serzh Sargsyan to negotiate

Former Prime Minister and former presidential candidate Hrant Bagratyan posted a record on his Facebook page, which he urges Raffi Hovannisyian and Serzh Sargsyan to negotiate. The recording, in particular, says.

"For another time we have had not free and not fair elections and the Freedom square is again full of people. The experience of 1996, 2003 and 2008 showed that the people mutiny in case of not reaching success in a constitutional way. People want to be the owners of their vote. It is a frank and constitutional demand. I have always thought that in case of impossibility of making changes legally revolutionary actions are unavoidable. This time though the situation is quite other. I see wish of the candidates of authorities and opposition to negotiate.

I call on Raffi Hovhannisyan and Serzh Sargsyan to immediately sit at the table of negotiations and try to find ways out of the situation, otherwise it will be impossible to avoid escalation and clashes. No one should treat my call as inappropriate interference or an ordered provocation. The two parties may at the same time continue their program of actions. I am just sure that even a common meeting may change a lot. There is such a chance and it will be wrong to miss it."
