Kangaroo visitor scares shoppers

A kangaroo paid a surprise visit to a shopping mall in Melbourne.
The animal managed to climb up onto the roof of a parking area but was too scared to climb down.

For nearly two hours it sat motionless on the edge of the parapet 50 meters above the ground.

Rescuers were able to shoo it to an open space before putting it to sleep with a tranquilizer gun.

The kangaroo was then delivered to a veterinary clinic for examination.

It will be released in a few days.
