"Zhoghovurd": Armenian Court of Appeals Chief Judge Arman Mkrtumyan visited Vanadzor to give instructions.
Armenian Press
"Zhoghovurd" daily was informed late Monday evening that Armenian Court of Appeals Chief Judge Arman Mkrtumyan was at the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court building of Vanadzor city. The daily was unable to ascertain the purpose for the visit, but it is assumed that Mkrtumyan was there to give some instructions to the judges.
“It is natural that the more the necessity for the court system’s independence is stated, the instructions handed down from the top of the pyramid become that much more,” Zhoghovurd writes, adding that, in contrast to the Government, the Court of Appeals is not empowered, and not known, to convene away sessions.
To note, on Saturday Mkrtumyan celebrated his birthday with great solemnity.
