Exactly half of Armenian State Budget’s tax revenues are collected from the value added tax, notes the Finance Ministry’s ten-month performance report, which was made public on Wednesday.
Between January and October 2011, the Budget’s revenues have constituted close to 690 billion drams (US$ 1,799,847,035), which is 81.5 percent of the annual plan. The expenditures are underperformed and they total $719 billion drams ($1,875,492,780), or 76.2 percent of the annual plan.
93.1 percent of the Budget revenues are made up of tax revenues, state duty, and mandatory social security payments.
Tax revenues, without social security payments, constitute 540 billion drams ($1,408,575,940). And in comparison with same time period last year, the taxes and duties have increased by 9.9 percent. This increase in tax revenues is primarily conditioned by the increase in VAT, profit tax, income tax, and customs duty.
