Syrian refugees number at 940,000 – UN

The number of Syrian refugees settling in neighboring countries has reached 940,000, the United Nations high commissioner for refugees António Guterres said.

He stressed that Syria was approaching ‘a moment of truth’ and called on the international community to take urgent measures to improve the situation.
