CIA director confirmation vote postponed
USA
The confirmation vote for President Obama's pick for future CIA director, John Brennan, has been postponed until next Tuesday by the Senate Intelligence Committee.
No explanation was given for the delay, but speculation surfaced that the White House’s reluctance to release classified "targeted killings" documents could be the reason behind the postponement of the vote.
Deputy National Security Adviser Brennan was nominated by President Obama to replace Michael Morell as the head of the CIA on January 7, 2013.
