The daily reports, "Governor of Syunik Surik Khachatryan denies that he struck businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan at Marriott hotel on November 14.

On the basis of the written report by Silva Hambardzumyan, the Special Investigation Service instigated a criminal case on "striking" basis. No other information on charging anyone, the investigation is underway.

To the question whether he really struck Hambardzumyan, Surik Khachatryan answered, "No, no, no, forget about this"."
