Authorities say at least eleven miners have died of asphyxiation while doing construction work in a coal mine in China’s Habay province.
There were 13 miners working in the pit the moment the tragedy struck on Thursday evening.
11 died on the spot and rescue teams are searching for the two other miners. According to preliminary reports the accident was caused by a fire in the pit’s air conditioning system, RIA reports.
