Italy’s unemployment hits record high

Italy’s unemployment figure has topped 3 million, or 11.7% of the workforce.
The percentage is the country’s highest of its kind since 1992.
Over the past year, the economy has shed a whopping half a million jobs.
About 2.8 million people are in temporary or casual employment, and the youth jobless rate is at a historic high of 38.7%.
