Armine Babayab fulfilled International Master norm.
S22-year-old Armenian woman chess player Armine Babayan fulfilled Woman International Master norm at the open that was held in Mashhad, Iran. This is Armine’s second such success. About a month ago she fulfilled International Master norm in the Armenian Women’s Championship, 2013.
In Mashhad Babayan scored 7 points out of 11 and raised her elo for 41,4 points.
The winner of the tournament with 10,5 points was Omid Noroozi (Iran).
Armenian chess Players in Cappelle la Grande
GM Tigran Gharamian and IM Karen Grigoryan have scored 5,5 points each out of 7 at the open that is being held in Cappelle la Grande, France. They are only half a point behind the leaders - GMs Sanan Syugirov (Russia), Sergey Fedorchuk (Ukraine), Alexei Fedorov (Belarus).
GMs Hovhannes Gabuzyan, Elina Danielian, David Arutinian have 5 points each, armchess reports.
