Texting while driving leads to upsurge in fatalities

Studies in the U.S. testify to a dramatic upsurge of traffic fatalities involving teenage motorists.
According to the American Association of Road Safety, the main causes of the accidents are using a mobile phone or texting while driving.
In the first six months of 2012 there were 240 fatalities among 16- and 17-year-old drivers, which is 19% more than in the same period for 2011.
