Roura: "Messi can take as long as he wants to score again"
Sport
Jordi Roura spoke to the press before ‘el Clásico’ and defended Messi. "He had a fever, but he’s getting better. When the best footballer in the world plays in your team and doesn’t score, it gets noticed, but it’s just one of those things: he can take as long as he wants to score again, that goal will come".
Roura highlighted how important consistency is in the league. "The league is very important to us. It’s the quintessential title to win. To visit Real Madrid and get a good result would be an important step for us".
"Winning the game would put even more distance between us and them in the league. Our goal is to take all three points and if the win boosts our confidence, then even better. It’s difficult to know which Real Madrid side will turn up on the day, but either way it will be a very competitive team. Real has a very strong squad", Vilanova’s assistant added.
