30 people were injured when a magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit China’s southwestern Yunan province on Sunday.
The initial temblor was followed by 34 aftershocks destroying more than a thousand homes, disrupting power and water supply and causing major traffic snarls.
The authorities have already ordered tents, blankets and warm clothing to be sent to the affected areas, TASS reports.
