Iranian Femen backers protest against hijabs in Stockholm

Activists with the Iranian Communist Party and the Organization Against Violence on Women in Iran have staged a topless protest in the Swedish capital of Stockholm against the practice of wearing a hijab by Islamic women.

The “sextivists” painted slogans “My nudity is my protest” and “No to hijab” on their bodies and waved photos of a similar demonstration by the Ukrainian FEMEN group.

The action was dedicated to the International Women’s Day on March 8 and mimicked the events staged by FEMEN, an organization advocating equal rights and feminism throughout the world, RTreports.
