Obese fans to get special seats at FIFA World Cup 2014

The FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil will be the first such event where overweight fans will be offered special seats at the stadium.
Brazilian law classifies obese people in the category of persons with disabilities. At each stadium during the World Cup and the Confederations Cup at least 1% of tickets will be made available to people with disabilities.

Applicants for special tickets will be required to provide specific medical information.
