Darijo Srna: "Everyone is to blame."

The captain of Shakhtar gives his take on the match with Borussia:

- The result shows that Borussia performed better in the two games. I believe that we haven’t used three chances. The first one in London, when we conceded a goal from Chelsea in the dying seconds. Then we could draw with Juventus at home. The third chance was in Donetsk, when we could beat Borussia having a two-goal lead. We did not do that. Of course, it is hard to play such team in Dortmund. Borussia were favourites. We conceded the first goal, then the second - and at once, the game developed differently. So we had to open up and create scoring chances. We had three or four chances to score. Unfortunately, we failed to. At that level, if you don’t convert your chances, of course, it gets tough.

- What happened when you gave away the third one?

- I don’t know... I think that Shakhtar had a very good season in the Champions League. Could We could still do better, but this match should be a lesson to us. Then, we will find it easier in the future.

- After the break, you started to play much better, although in the first half the game was much harder for you...

- It was very hard, because Dortmund put pressure. After the break, we had nothing to lose. We had to play open football. It wasn’t bad, but, unfortunately, we did not score.

- What do you make of the game of Douglas, who came off the bench after the break?

- Douglas stepped up our game both in Donetsk and today. Together we win and together we lose. The blame lies with everyone of us. We are a single outfit, so now we look forward to the league and the Cup. We will also try to secure a good future in the next Champions League edition.
