Snowstorms in U.S. leave four dead

At least four people have been killed by heavy snowstorms that hit the U.S. eastern coast, local media report.
Gale-force winds damaged power lines, leaving 250,000 households without electricity.
A state of emergency was declared in Virginia. Meteorologists say the snowstorms will continue until Saturday.
