Director Damiano Damiani dead at 91 in Rome

He was well known figure in the world of cinema. He was 91 years and became popular for his film "The Day of the Owl" and on TV for "The Octopus".

He died this evening at his home in Rome, for insufficiency of breathing.

His 1971 film "Confessions of a Police Captain" won the Golden Prize at the 7th Moscow International Film Festival.
