Rotten meat scandal in Poland
World
The Polish authorities have ordered the suspension of all operations at a slaughterhouse which was suspected of using rotten meat.
The charges against the company were made in a television show which conducted a journalistic investigation using a hidden camera.
The program claimed that meat which had expired was returned to the plant by stores and was used to prepare sausages and ham.
The plant, located in a town in the north of Poland, has supplied its products to several countries in the European Union.
The management of the company denies the allegations of journalists.
