Early parliamentary election in Malta today
World
Malta is holding a snap parliamentary election today following the Cabinet resignation on December 11th, after the ruling Nationalist Party had lost the parliamentary majority it commanded.
The opposition Labour Party under Joseph Muscat seems to be winning the 60-day long election race.
According to the ratings, it is 12% more popular with the voters than the Nationalists who had been in power for actually 25 years, excluding an almost two-year break from 1996 to 1998.
The election returns are expected to be made public on Sunday, TASS reports.
