Computer game used to illustrate report from Syria

Danish broadcasting channel TV2 has admitted mistakenly using a frame from the popular computer game Assassin's Creed to illustrate a report from Syria, RIA reports.

One of the staff who discovered the image on the internet, was convinced it depicted Damascus. However, once the report came out, the blunder was widely discussed in the social networks.

A TV representative referred to it as "a terrible mistake, underscoring the importance of verifying one’s image sources."
