Leader of opposition party "Heritage" Raffi Hovhannisyan, disputing the official results of presidential elections, went on hunger strike at Liberty Square, calling for the incumbent head of state and formally re-elected president Serzh Sargsyan's resignation.

Speaking on Sunday at a rally at Liberty Square in Yerevan, Hovannisian said that before the inauguration of Serzh Sargsyan there is still time to come to the square and submit a "rejection."

Later, several citizens joined Raffi Hovannisian's hunger strike. Member of the "Heritage" party Armen Martirosyan said that if it is necessary, he will also join the hunger strike.
