Russian diplomat becomes honorary citizen of Niigata

On Monday, Russian diplomat Mikhail Sergeyev was made an honorary citizen of the Japanese city of Niigata for his ‘considerable contribution to expanding bilateral relations.’

Sergeyev currently serves as acting Russian Consul General in Niigata twinned with the Russian city of Khabarovsk, TASS reports.
