Kandinsky exhibition evokes visitor interest

An exhibition called “Wassily Kandinsky and Russia” at Brussels’ Royal Museum of Fine Arts has evoked a lot of interest among Belgians and foreign tourists alike.
Dedicated to Wassily Kandinsky, one of the founders of abstractionism, the exposition features about 150 works by Russian avant-garde and Symbolist painters.
At the core of the exposition are 50 works by Kandinsky and paintings by Kazimir Malevich, Nikolai Roerich, Mikahil Vrubel and Mikahil Larionov, covering the periods from 1901 to 1922, TASS reports.
