Papal conclave at Vatican to elect new Pope
Աշխարհ
A papal conclave is meeting at the Vatican, with the 115 attending Cardinals due to elect a new Pope. The conclave will traditionally be held at the Sistine Chapel.
The Cardinals will conduct a mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. local time (1 p.m. Moscow time) and will then move to the Sistine Chapel in a procession to vote, after dinner, at 16:30 local time (19:30 Moscow time).
The Chapel will be sealed, so the Cardinals will not be able to leave it until their elect a new Pope. The voting will continue over and over again until one candidate polls 77 or more votes of the 115. This conclave is the 25th in the history of the Roman Catholic Church. The average age of electing Cardinals is 72. 60 of them represent Europe.
