Sittings of the NA Standing Committees are held

On March 12 at the sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood presided over by Ara Babloyan the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights” was debated.

The Committee endorsed the debated draft law for including it in the draft agendas of the third session of the National Assembly of the fifth convocation and March 18-21 four-day sittings.

At March 12 sitting the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs presided over by the Deputy Chair of the Committee Margarit Yesayan debated agenda issues of the parliamentary hearings to be held in future. The representatives of the USAID taking part in the sitting, reaffirmed their readiness to support the organization of the parliamentary hearings within the framework of the assistance program of the National Assembly of Armenia, which was launched in 2012.

At this sitting by the author’s proposal the committee did not debate the bill “On Ensuring Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Women and Men”.
