Kirchner slams Falkland referendum as parody

The Argentine President Cristina Kirchner has slammed the Falkland Islands referendum as a parody, given that 99% of the residents had cast their ballots for preserving the islands’ status of a British overseas territory.
According to Kirchner, holding this kind of referendum is tantamount to asking squatters if they would like to leave the premises they have seized.
British Prime Minister David Cameron said earlier that the returns of the Falkland referendum of March 10th and 11th should be respected, BBC reports.
