Europe is beginning clean up efforts in the aftermath of extremely powerful snowstorms.
Hundreds of flights have been cancelled at a Paris airport due to bad weather. Rail services have ground to a halt in Belgium, while 100 cars have collided in a huge pile-up on a motorway in Germany.
No one has been reported dead, but dozens are said to have been injured. In the UK, police urge drivers to abstain from using private cars.
Traffic has come to a standstill on numerous highways. According to weather forecasters, it will stop snowing on the eve of the weekend.
