Restrictions remain on Georgian-Russian road section
Russia
Traffic restrictions remain imposed on several road sections in Georgia.
These have been imposed in some sections of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway on the Georgian-Russian border due to snowfalls and icy road conditions. The Georgian highways department told Trend that in particular, movement of trailer, semi-trailer vehicles and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats is prohibited along the Aragvispiri-Lars section of the road.
Traffic is possible through avalanche tunnels on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the road. It is prohibited to stop along this section. There are no other traffic restrictions in Georgia.
