French actor Gerard Depardieu who has recently received Russian citizenship set up an investment company in the Belgian border town of Nechin.

Official documents to this effect were signed on March 8.

The move is to escape a new 75% tax imposed on individuals with assets exceeding 1.3 million euros in his home France, Interfax reports.
