Bosnia and Herzegovina gripped by "gold fever"
World
The northern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina are gripped by what could be termed as a “gold fever”.
It broke out after a resident of a small village – Strigova – Branko Tadic found an unusual stone with pieces of yellow metal imbedded in it.
The analysis that was made later showed that it contained grains of gold.
Thousands of people made an attempt to try their luck and immediately went to Strigova regarding it as a Bosnian Klondike.
Tadic told newsmen that over the past 2 weeks his quiet village had changed beyond recognition. Newcomers have found nothing there though, he added.
