An Iranian citizen died in Armenia as a result of car accident.

A fatal accident occurred on Armenia’s Yerevan-Goris Highway.

An International-model truck collided with a Gazelle minibus on Sunday. The truck’s driver, Iranian citizen Ismayil Marandi, 55, attempted to escape from the vehicle by throwing himself out, but he was run over by a GAZ 3129-model car, driven by S. Ghazaryan, which was coming from behind, and Marandi lost his life. 

As a result of the accident there was fuel leakage from the truck. The firefighters held cleaning works on the highway.  

Armenian MFA has been informed of this incident, Ministry of Emergency Situations Press Service informed.
