"If we think that Galatasaray will be easy, we are making a big mistake"

Aitor Karanka, Real Madrid's assistant coach, had the following to say about the Champions League draw: "If we think that Galatasaray will be an easy opponent, we are making a big mistake. Galatasaray has highly experienced players who used to play for us, and dangerous players like Drogba. There's a reason why any opponent is in the quarter finals."

Karanka underscored Real Madrid's current turn of form. "We don't consider ourselves the favourites, but the team is confident. The team is on good form and playing really well at the moment, which is important."

The Madrid coach experienced a two-legged contest against Galatasaray back when he was a player. That was during the 2000/01 season, when the Madrid side took victory in the quarterfinals clash in the very same competition which pits the two teams against each other this year on 3rd April.
