Killer of Armenian officer Ramil Safarov may be extradited to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani army officer Ramil Safarov, who serves a life imprisonment in Hungary, may be extradited to Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov announced upon his return from Hungary.
The ministry official is hopeful that the issue of Sarafov's extradition would be reviewed as part of the humanitarian assistance convention of the Council of Europe where both Azerbaijan and Hungary have a membership.
"Hungary will review this issue once it is raised," the deputy FM stressed.
To note, Ramil Safarov was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Budapest Court in 2004 over charges of killing Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan during NATO exercises in Hungary in 2004. Safarov axed Margaryan while the latter was asleep, reported Regnum news agency.
