Syrian refugess number 1.15 million says UNHCR

The current number of refugees from Syria is currently at approximately 1.15 million people with another 3.6 million classified as being “internally displaced” by armed conflict in the Middle Eastern country.
On Tuesday these numbers were reported by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres at a hearing in the U.S. Senate.
The number of internally displaced persons in the country was obtained from data released by the Syrian government he said.
