Government’s New Year present- three bottles of oil and 10% rise of benefits.

The government has envisaged a present for needy families- three bottles of oil and 10% rise of benefits and pensions.

The executive body has decided today to help 116 000 families of our country at the threshold of the New Year. The Republic of Armenia has received the oil as a humanitarian aid.

The benefits and pensions will be increased from the next year.

During today’s session of the government the prime minister promised that the socially vulnerable families will get help regularly.

“The social aid to needy families will be sustainable,”  Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said in this respect. “In 2012 we’ll increase the social benefits and pensions by 10 per cent. At the same time, the government has developed a complex programme of social assistance. We’ll assist socially the needy families. This is the pre-holiday assistance to 116 000 families, which will be sustainable.”
