Apollo 11 rockets raised from Atlantic floor
World
Two engines from the Saturn-5 carrier rocket, which in 1969 sent Neil Armstrong to the moon, have been raised from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
The operation to bring them to surface lasted about three weeks and was organized by the founder of the largest online retailer Amazon, Jeff Bezos.
After the restoration of the rockets they will probably be put on display in the U.S. aerospace museum in Seattle, Washington.
Bezos hopes that they will help to educate the next generation of Americans about the Apollo 11 mission during which man first walked on the moon.
