"I would have liked other words from Mourinho after beating United"

Sergio Ramos, when talking to Spanish radio station COPE, decided to stand up and speak up for his team-mates and their hard-fought victory in Old Trafford. He feels that Mourinho didn't really appreciate their efforts enough at the end of the game, judging by his remark "the best team has not won".

It will be interesting to see what, if any, will be Mourinho's reactions to Ramos' comment, as the last time that the defender questioned his gaffer's choice of words, after playing against Sevilla, he was sat on the bench for the ensuing Manchester City game.

"I would have liked that after winning in Old Trafford, the manager's words to have been different", said Ramos before assuring that when he took Özil's shirt to celebrate one of his goals, "it wasn't anything against Mou, I have already explained this. I have had a special feeling for Özil since day one. We became neighbours, and now we are like brothers. I saw that he was having a hard time of it, and that's why I did what I did."

Ramos is unaware if Mourinho will be continuing in the Bernabéu dug-out next season or not: "I don't know, he's got a contract for the next three years. It's a personal decision. He has always said that his family is very happy in Madrid. Where better than here?"
