"Haykakan Zhamanak": Serzh Sargsyan plans to change four regional governors

Armenia’s President, Serzh Sargsyan, plans to change four regional governors, the daily reports.

“This refers to the regional governors of Kotayk, Armavir, Tavush and Vayots Dzor. According to the same sources, these changes are directly linked to the results that were recorded in these regions during the presidential election that was held on February 18.

There is a particular discontent with respect to the regional governors of Kotayk, Armavir and Tavush.

At first glance, the information about the dismissal of the regional governor of Vayots Dzor seems bizarre because, according to official figures, Serzh Sargsyan won by virtually double in this region, but he lost to [opposition Heritage Party Chairman, former FM] Raffi Hovannisian in the regional center, Yeghegnadzor.
